Brilliant, soulful, big-visioned humans — coaches, healers, authors, leaders, changemakers — doing genuinely transformational work. Work that comes from real gifts, depth, and devotion to making this world better.
And yet the business stays stuck, and marketing feels draining.
They’ve tried everything. None of it has created the results they long for. So they start wondering if something is wrong with them.
I came to the United States in 2008 — a cute and secretly nerdy girl from Västerås, Sweden, with a photographic memory, boundless curiosity, and an outsider’s eye.
When you grow up outside a culture and have to learn it from scratch, you develop a particular kind of vision. You see the machinery and notice what everyone inside takes for granted. I kept asking, “Wait, but WHY does it work like that?” when everyone else was busy trying to “hack the system.”
What actually makes people trust someone? What makes a message land? What produces harm? What is sustainable?
And then I crossed it with something I’ve always had: the ability to feel into what’s real.
A teacher called me an old soul at 8 (can you relate?). I can sense what’s going on underneath the surface of things — in a person, in a business, in a culture.
On my entrepreneurial journey, I learned that marketing — done in right relationship — can be a powerful place for human transformation, not just produce sales.
I’ve worked with companies large, small, and everything in between — yogi influencers with millions of followers, online fitness brands, authors, leaders, and artists.
It all started in 2011 at the Institute for the Psychology of Eating in Boulder, where I went from new hire to Director of Student Relations in six months. There, I got my first front-row seat to what happens when brilliant vision meets dysfunctional infrastructure. Spoiler: it was not pretty.
From there, in 2013, I joined Emerging Women — a live events startup with speakers like Brené Brown, Alanis Morissette, V (formerly Eve Ensler), Elizabeth Gilbert, Jane Goodall, Arianna Huffington, Gabrielle Bernstein, and Danielle LaPorte — as a volunteer. A few months later, I was Director of Events and flew all over the country producing live events. I stayed two and a half years and left with a masterclass in building something meaningful — yet ultimately unsustainable — from a big vision.
After homebirthing my two children in 2018, I co-founded Femme & Co., built on 11 core principles of feminine-centered business. We scaled a fitness brand past $1 million. Grew a thought leader’s Instagram from 200 to 64,000. Built systems, launched products, created predictable revenue for clients who’d never had it.
Then I realized I needed to do it fully my way to give my clients what I know they needed. In 2021, Alignment Marketing was born.
Since then, I’ve worked with 50+ organizations, and my own business scaled from $50,000 to $93,000 in 2024, working 10 hours a week. This was, in part, made possible by using AI systems I built myself. (More on that in a moment.)
I remember the moment back in 2021 when I was at a hotel “working retreat,” away from my two small children, aged 4 and 6, to get some deep work done. I turned to my business partner and said, “Dude, we’re not building funnels. We’re building ecosystems!!”
I coined the term Marketing Ecosystem back when most marketers were still worshipping at the altar of the funnel. My business partner thought we shouldn’t use it. We had a lot of disagreements like that, and it’s part of why I eventually left to do it my way.
In nature, nothing exists in isolation. A flower pollinates AND feeds. An animal feeds AND fertilizes the soil. Everything has a purpose. Everything is interdependent. When one thing thrives, everything around it does too.
A funnel extracts while an ecosystem generates. A funnel treats your future clients like targets moving toward a transaction. An ecosystem creates conditions where the right people naturally find you, trust you, and want to work with you.
Now, in 2026, mainstream marketers are finally catching up and moving toward this way of thinking and building (yay — but also — have their core values actually changed?)
I thought I was going to be a dancer, a writer, a healer, or a therapist. Probably all of the above.
But it turns out that LIBERATION — helping brilliant, soulful humans get free from marketing that makes them feel compromised and drained, and instead, get seen, make real money, and make real change — is part of the healing work I was always meant to do.
For the last four years, I’ve been immersing myself in European indigenous wisdom through my mentor and teacher, Ro Marlen — reconnecting to the land, the seasons, the wheel of the year, and my well ancestors. Learning what it means to live in right relationship with myself, with others, with the earth, the dead, and ultimately with something larger than all of us.
This matters for marketing because when people catch on to trendy terms without fully understanding or embodying the values, lore, laws, and lineage our ancestors knew how to co-create with — something vital gets lost. I’ve been writing about this for a long time. Read: What is the Wolf Hiding Inside the Women’s Empowerment Coaching Complex?
If this part of my work interests you, I invite you to read my essay on Re-wilding your marketing.
Karna Liv NauThe ecosystem I build for you is completely custom. Your gifts, your voice, your people are specific — and your marketing should be too. Think: haute couture, not department store.
In the fall of 2023, my brother Sam — a behavioral expert working in AI — introduced me to what was possible. I got curious. Then I got serious.
I’ve studied AI the same way I’ve studied everything — deeply, thoroughly, with an eye toward what’s actually useful, expansive, and sustainable versus what’s problematic, extractive, and unsustainable. I bring that into every client engagement with incredible results.
Through the work of AI teacher Ethan Mollick, I discovered the concept of the Centaur — someone who uses AI when it’s the right tool, and leads with human brilliance when that’s the better way. Juxtaposed with the hordes of marketers who use the Cyborg approach — aka, let the robots do it all.
That’s exactly how I operate, and how I teach my clients to use it. I know everyone talks about AI these days — to me, this is a rich and complex topic because while it’s brilliant in many ways, it’s also highly problematic in ways I don’t have the space to get into here. This about page is meaty enough as it is. 😂 But trust me, I take great care in how I work with AI for my clients.
The ALIGN Method: Five frameworks for values-driven businesses ready to grow + evolve on their own terms.
A — Audit the Ecosystem Find the leaks. Nothing gets built on a leaky foundation.
L — Liberate Your Message Emit a strong signal that cuts through the noise: own your voice, story, and positioning.
I — Illuminate Your Method + Offers Surface the invisible framework you already use and streamline your offers.
G — Generate Your Ecosystem Build the interdependent marketing infrastructure that works together like nature intended — converting the people ready to buy now, and the ones who will be ready later.
N — Navigate With a Plan A custom, annually repeating marketing plan aligned with your energy, seasons, and goals.
A transformational process that will change how you see your business forever.
During your intensive, we go deep into all aspects of your business infrastructure and marketing: your vision, dreams, fears, gifts, voice, current systems — or lack thereof wink — your soulmate clients, your offers, your message. All of it on the table. I find the leaks, reveal the gaps, and show you the opportunities you’ve been standing right next to without knowing it.
You leave with a completely custom annually repeating Alignment Marketing Plan. Not someone else’s framework with your name on it. Built uniquely for you, from the inside out.
The clients who choose this experience get to feel what it’s like when marketing is finally in alignment — you wake up knowing exactly what to do, the right people start finding you, selling stops feeling like a performance and starts feeling like an invitation. And finally, your business feels as good as you always dreamed it could be.
Here’s what one client, Lauren, sent me one week after finishing her Intensive:
If something in you recognized itself in these words, I would love to connect with you to see if we are a good fit.
I know what it takes to show up fully for someone, and I honor that by limiting my availability each month to only two Alignment Marketing Intensives.
If you’re ready to stop leaking energy into marketing that doesn’t reflect who you really are, and start building something that feels as good as the soul work you do in the world, set up a time to talk to me.
